Permit requirements for roofing vary across Montana jurisdictions. In our service area, cities including Butte, Helena, Deer Lodge, Whitehall, and East Helena require permits for roofing work, among others. Some smaller communities don’t have the same requirements. We check permit requirements in every city we work in, and when we’re in a jurisdiction we haven’t worked before, we ask before we start. We never assume.
