What an exceptional experience! We knew our house needed a new roof, but we weren't sure who to reach out to. After a Google search for a "reputable and well-rated roofing company" returned Mountain Roofing, and I read through a number of their 5-star reviews, we gave them a call. I think Dan (the owner) was at our house that afternoon! He conducted a thorough assessment and then clearly outlined the cost and timeline for completion. We were shown samples of different shingle types, and I appreciated that Dan did not push us toward the most expensive option.
From start to finish, our experience was outstanding. Dan's team was able to tear off the roof and replace it with the new shingles in a day. My uncle actually oversaw the activity (since we were out of town) and he appreciated that they were more than willing to answer his questions.
I'd also like to point out that after they finished, they sent us a handwritten thank-you note letting us know how much they appreciated our business. Dan even came back once we were back in Butte to make sure all was well. The personal touchpoints and service truly set this company apart.

Dan & Alli, (owners), Anthony (project manager), Nino (crew foreman) & John Hall, our go to guy on our new roof project were awesome people to work with. They all paid attention to detail & answered all of our questions in a timely fashion. A special shout out to John Hall as he seen us through the entirety of this job. From 7:00 am to 8:00 am the old roof was removed & the new roof installed & completed by 3:00 the same day. The clean up was great! We were amazed at their workmanship, professional attitude & kindness.

No one wants to be told that they need a new roof. I do have to say that Dan and Emily and the crew made it as painless as possible. The crew showed up promptly at 7 am and by 6 pm the roof was complete (and beautiful) and the crew was busy cleaning up all of the nails and trimmings. I am grateful to have been educated about the need for good ventilation and have hope of more comfortable temperatures in the house next summer. I would definitely recommend Mountain Roofing to anyone needing a new roof.
I really appreciated the time Dan spent showing me what was going on with my roof and explaining why and how it needed to be fixed. He kept me informed of progress throughout the process. The whole job was done in one day except for some small details and it looks beautiful. His crew did a super job of cleaning things up after the roof was done. The Mountain Roofing crew totally replaced my roof today (8/15). They were here early and at 1.5 hours had the roof completely stripped of the old shingles. By 1 pm the job was completed and they started the clean up process. Went through my yard and the adjoining yard to pickup debris. They then went over the whole area with magnets to get the loose nails. This crew went out of their way to do a complete job. The foreman was fun to talk with and listen to any question that I had during the process. If you want a great job pick- Mountain Roofing crew! Ben Bouley
Mountain Roofing did a great job for us. John and Cliff kept us informed of what was going to happen and up- dated on each step. They did follow up and sent someone to complete any tasks that had been overlooked and made sure things were well done. It was a very nice experience with a very nice team! Thank you all!
We had a long-overdue new roof installation done on our house and detached garage , located in Butte. We used this as an opportunity to correct a number of issues that existed when we moved in many years ago. Examples include poor venting, poor water drainage around our chimney, and others. Mountain Roofing was very responsive upon initial contact, unlike other contractors we attempted to contact. Communication was excellent. The job was postponed a couple of times due to the typical May weather in Butte (rain/snow), but the job was done in one day with excellent quality. The cost was as quoted and we are quite happy.
Mountain Roofing went out of their way to provide me with an honest, conscientious and overall helpful experience. I feel I can trust them completely and believe that the Butte area is very lucky to have them. I look forward to doing business with them again in the future and highly recommend them to everyone with a roofing issue that needs quality care and expertise.

Thank you Mountain Roofing! For anyone looking for a company to make sure your roofing needs are taken care of, these are the folks you need to contact! I called Alli on a Friday morning to request an inspection on my 20 year old roof as well as a quote on replacement if necessary. She informed me that one of their agents may still be in the Dillon area, told me she would check and call back to let me know. She called back in less than 10 minutes and let me know that their agent could be at my house in a couple of hours if that was convenient for me.

John has been awesome and stayed in touch when i asked for a quote, he was kind enough that when i couldn't contract it out at the moment, he was driving by and saw more damage that had happened to my roof and offered to stop by and throw some temp tarp on it free of charge and to keep me in mind until i can have them come out and work my roof

Our entire process with Mountain Roofing has been fantastic. We've tried to get our roof damage replaced for several years with several other local firms but with no success. We contacted Mountain Roofing and within a few days we got an on-site visit, a quote and a date to start the replacement. Back in the day, I was a carpenter and worked for a roofing company, so I know what's important on a roof and Dan had all of those covered. The roof was done in one day and it looks perfect. We highly recommend Mountain Roofing.
This team did such a great job for us on our house and garage roof. It was a battle with the insurance but they were there to assist. This was definitely a better experience than our last roofer. I never heard of whirlybirds until I met with Mountain Roofing. It is very important for the life of your roof to have proper ventilation and some roofers don't take that into account and simply do not care (read the fine print). They did such a great job that I am having them inspect my other new roof to make sure I have proper ventilation. I forgot to mention, they did both roofs in one day! They also followed up on the permit and had the city inspect before they closed the permit. We are vey impressed with Mountain Roofing and will refer them anytime we can.

I am very happy with my new roof for my garage. The roof replacement was done in an afternoon, the crew was hard-working and boy were they fast. Looks great! It’s hard to find folks who have a great and honest work ethic. John came out to do a FREE and same day estimate and we found that my attic had several other issues I’ve been trying get to the bottom of for YEARS. He helped get other contractors to finally show up and made sure they actually listened! A contractor ended up giving me an “easy way out” and John educated me and told that wasn’t the right way. He made sure my family was taken care of. I can’t thank him enough for helping this exhausted Mom finally get answers. John is amazing!!!

I contacted Mountain Roofing to get a quote on a flat roofed area of my home that is used as a deck, after water damage due to material failure. There was nothing straightforward about the job, and John was methodical in his measuring, photo documentation, and his consideration of options for me. Unfortunately, he felt that my solutions might be better found working with a general contractor due to the nature of the connecting structures, the type of materials needed for a deck/roof and my intended use of the area. He was efficient in his response time, professional in his discussions of alternatives, and I left with an impression of a company with integrity and experience driven knowledge. He followed up with referrals, which I'd requested, and I feel confident they'll work out. It's increasingly difficult to find anyone in the building industry that has this level of respect for my time and my building needs.

From our first meeting with John, to the last nail being removed from my dad's lawn, we had nothing but a TERRIFIC experience with Mountain Roofing. The communication was outstanding and the whole job went exactly as expected, and beyond! In just 8 hours, 2 layers of old roofing was removed, new vents and flashing were installed, the roof was replaced and the yard was cleaned up. Except for the beautiful new roof and a little noise, we never would have known a roofing crew was here. Yes, it was more expensive than we expected but then again, pricing has gone up on everything. My dad is 96 so we wanted to make this as easy as possible. John and his team delivered a painless, fast, easy experience with superior craftsmanship and we are beyond happy with the job.
