From the ladder, we carefully inspect the lower portions of your roofing system.

We count the number of roof layers and check for sealing along the drip edge.

We inspect the overlap of roofing material and the drip edge, 1/4″ – 3/8″ is what manufacturers recommend.

We verify the installation of drip edge, starter, fascia, and soffit.

Roof Level Inspection

Then we conduct a detailed inspection of the roofing surface.

We meticulously examine flashing around chimneys, vents, and skylights for any signs of damage or leaks.

We assess the condition of current venting and the number of penetrations.

We confirm roof pitches and look for dips or soft spots that may indicate failing sheathing or structural issues.

Attic Inspection

Once we move inside your attic, we gain valuable insights into the overall health of your roofing system. Primarily, we’re looking to see if your house is “breathing” properly, which is essential for preventing moisture buildup and ice dams.

During this process, we look for signs of failing sheathing or structural issues that may not be visible from the exterior. At the same time, we verify that your soffit venting is open and functioning as intended to ensure consistent airflow.

Furthermore, we assess the functionality of your exhaust venting to confirm it’s moving air out of your home efficiently. Ultimately, we gather any additional information that may be relevant to the condition of your roof, so that we can provide you with a truly complete picture of your home’s protection.
