We don’t allow homeowner tear-off, and it’s worth explaining why — because we get asked this and the reasoning is genuine, not just a policy for policy’s sake.

Montana weather changes fast. An exposed deck is a liability, and if your project gets delayed for any reason — weather, a prior job running long, an unexpected complication on another site — your home is unprotected in the meantime. That’s a risk we’re not willing to put on you.

There’s also a scheduling reality. The job before yours might uncover unexpected work that runs longer than planned. If your roof is already torn off waiting on us, that logistical pressure creates exactly the conditions where corners get cut. We don’t work that way.

Tear-off is part of the job. We do it, we manage it, and we’re responsible for what’s underneath from the moment we start until the moment we’re done.
