Quality & Service Technician

Build More Than Roofs. Build a Career with Mountain Roofing.

At Mountain Roofing, we’re not just about shingles and nails. We’re about building protection that stands up to Montana weather and building relationships that last. We are a local, owner-led team that values two things above all else: Integrity and Effort. We don’t just fix leaks; we provide peace of mind to our neighbors.

Quality & Service Technician Summary

Are you the person who is always “tinkering” with something? Do you have a knack for figuring out how things work? Maybe you’re working a job right now where you feel like just a number, or you’re tired of doing the same repetitive task every day.

We are looking for a Service & Quality Technician. You don’t need a single day of roofing experience to apply. If you have a strong work ethic, a clean driving record, and you’re great with people, we will teach you everything you need to know to become an expert in the industry.

The Technician Role: Why You Matter

This is a hybrid technician role for someone who likes variety. One day you’ll be troubleshooting a minor repair for a homeowner, and the next you’ll be doing a final quality “audit” on a major project to make sure our crews nailed every detail.

  • Learn the Craft: We provide comprehensive, hands-on training. You’ll master the technical side of roofing from the best in the business.
  • The “Final Eye”: You’ll be our quality guardian. You’ll walk jobs after they’re finished to ensure the site is clean and the work is perfect.
  • Help People: You’ll meet with homeowners, listen to their concerns, and explain how we’re going to take care of them.
  • Keep Us Moving: You’ll help manage materials, transport trailers, and keep our fleet ready for action.
  • Document the Win: You’ll use your phone to take photos of the work, helping us show the customer a job well done.

What We’re Looking For

  • The “Fix-It” Gene: You’re handy. You might have worked in a shop, on a ranch, or in general construction. You like seeing a problem and solving it.
  • A People Person: You’re friendly, you listen well, and you can talk to anyone—from a crew member to a grandmother who’s worried about a leak.
  • Attention to Detail: You’re the type of person who notices if a picture frame is crooked. You take pride in the “little things.”
  • Reliability: You show up when you say you will. No excuses.
  • Montana Tough: You’re comfortable on a ladder, can lift 80lbs, and aren’t afraid of a little wind, snow, or sun.
  • Clean Record: You have a valid driver’s license and a clean record behind the wheel.

Why Choose Mountain Roofing?

We believe that when our team is happy, our customers are happy. When you join us, you get:

  • Competitive Pay: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour based on experience.
  • A Real Career Path: This isn’t just a summer gig. As we grow, your role will grow with us.
  • Paid Training: We don’t expect you to be an expert on day one. We’ll provide a mentor and all the training you need to succeed.
  • Generous PTO: We value hard work and the rest required to keep doing it.
  • Mountain Perks: Occasional outdoor team-building activities and outings to enjoy the Montana landscape we work so hard to protect.
